A number of traders are trying to revive the traditional Galway weekly market that was held on Wednesdays in Galway city centre. The principles of the market are to support Access to Local Food and to support our local craftspeople, artisans, artists and food producers.

We want to add vitality and diversity to Galway city life. We want to be able to offer our customers fresh local food, of the highest quality and organic where possible. We want our local artists, artisans and craftspeople to be able to make a livelihood from their talents, to offer something unique that can only be found on the Galway Wednesday Market. We believe the people of Galway would support a mid week market.
